The Kootenay Livestock Association (KLA) represents livestock producers throughout the East Kootenay region of BC and supports the industry through advocacy, education, and stewardship initiatives.
KLA administers the Grassland Rangeland Enhancement Program (GREP), a producer-focused stewardship program that supports projects improving grassland health, range management, biodiversity, and conservation outcomes.
KLA is seeking an experienced contractor to coordinate and deliver GREP throughout the region. The initial contract term will run from September 15, 2026, to April 30, 2027, with a contract value of $45,000. The scope of work is estimated to average approximately 20 hours per week.
The contract may be renewed annually for a one-year term from May 1 to April 30. The annual renewal contract value will be $72,000.
The GREP Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, administration, and delivery of GREP,
including program planning, financial management, project coordination, producer engagement, field support, communications, and reporting.
Working with producers, funding partners, government representatives, technical specialists, contractors, and community organizations, the Coordinator supports successful project delivery and ensures accountability to the KLA, funders, and GREP participants.
The GREP Program Coordinator reports directly to the KLA Board of Directors.
