Focus Systems is seeking an experienced Programmer/Analyst - Level 2 (1899) to support an Infor Application Suite upgrade and production support initiatives within an insurance and public-sector environment.

Role Overview The Programmer/Analyst - Level 2 (1899 ) will provide technical analysis, development, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and production support services for the Infor application suite and the Infor upgrade project currently underway. The Infor Application Suite includes human resource management and finance systems using technologies such as Talent Management, Global Human Resources, Lawson Finance S3, Workforce Management, Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI), Smart Notes, Smart Office, Infor Process Designer, Infor Security Administrator, d/EPM, and COBOL.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance with Infor Application Suite upgrade activities.
- Analyze, plan, design, develop, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and support applications associated with the Infor Application Suite.
- Report to a team lead, provide progress and status updates, and track time against assigned work items.
- Adhere to governance, standards, and best practices for the Infor platform and MPI software delivery processes.
- Document system designs, concepts, facilities, components, interfaces, operational environments, data structures, files, subsystems, modules, programs, batch and online processes, production monitoring procedures, testing strategies, and related system information.
- Analyze functional requirements to identify information needs, procedures, decision flows, and solution alternatives.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration, application, service, integration, and legacy application issues promptly.
- Perform break/fix support and regression testing, and support inbound and outbound interfaces to systems and middleware.
- Develop test plans and test cases.
- Create, update, and maintain procedures, standards, and system documentation for current systems and changes to existing systems.
- Provide day-to-day production support and develop workarounds or supporting information for multiple production applications, where applicable.
- Create product backlog items or defects based on issues identified or reported by business units within an Agile framework.
- Manage production support tickets from intake through implementation, including defects identified during project warranty periods.
- Assist the Centre of Excellence quality testing team with enquiries and clarifications related to application defects or enhancements undergoing user acceptance testing.
- Provide technical, design,
and architectural support to team members, lead smaller projects, and coordinate related activities across functional areas as required.
- Provide after-hours on-call support, including weekends, when required.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with the Infor Application Suite.
- Demonstrated experience performing technical analysis, development, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and production support for Infor and Lawson applications, including applications supporting human resource management and finance systems.
- Experience with Infor technologies such as Talent Management, Global Human Resources, Lawson Finance S3, Workforce Management, LBI and Smart Notes, Smart Office, Infor Process Designer, Infor Security Administrator, d/EPM, and COBOL.
- Experience supporting upgrade activities, regression testing, break/fix work, user acceptance testing clarifications, inbound and outbound system interfaces, and production support activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical, technical analysis, development, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-resolution skills.
- Ability to work with clients, business units, technical teams, quality assurance, and team leads to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support delivery.
- Ability to provide technical, design, and architectural support to team members and coordinate work across functional areas as required.
- Working knowledge of general insurance terminology and practices.
