Amadeusz supports young people who are incarcerated to create positive change in their lives through education, mentorship, community supports, and exceptional care. Our vision is to create a future with equitable access to education and community support.

ABOUT PROSPER

Prosper is an intensive reintegration program supporting young adults (18–29) incarcerated on firearm-related charges. Working inside correctional institutions and in the community after release, we provide individualized, relationship-based support to help participants overcome barriers, achieve their goals, and successfully reintegrate into their communities.

Our work is grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive practice.

POSITION SUMMARY The Prosper Case Worker supports participants throughout incarceration and community reintegration by building trusting relationships, completing assessments, developing individualized support plans, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and connecting participants to community resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct participant intakes, assessments, and individualized support planning.
- Facilitate Prosper's 12-week psychoeducational program within correctional institutions.
- Provide advocacy, coaching, brief supportive counselling, and systems navigation.
- Connect participants to housing, employment, education, healthcare, and other community resources.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and participant documentation.
- Build collaborative relationships with correctional staff and community partners.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED





- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Service Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Education, Community Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two years of experience supporting individuals facing complex barriers.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive practice.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

ASSETS

- Experience facilitating groups.
- Experience working with justice-involved youth or young adults.
- Knowledge of Ontario's correctional system and community reintegration services.
- Training in Motivational Interviewing, crisis intervention, or restorative practices.
