What You’ll Do Public Relations Strategy & Brand Management

- Develop and implement strategic public relations plans that strengthen SNG’s reputation and visibility
- Craft key messaging, campaigns, and storytelling that position SNG as a leader in Indigenous-led economic development
- Protect and enhance the SNG brand across all communications channels

Media Relations & Stakeholder Engagement

- Serve as the primary contact for media and public relations inquiries
- Coordinate interviews, media statements, and spokesperson opportunities
- Build robust relationships with media, partners, and community stakeholders

Content Development & Communications

- Prepare press releases, feature stories, newsletters, website content, and social media communications
- Ensure consistent tone, messaging, and branding across all communications materials
- Develop compelling content highlighting SNG’s work, values, and impact

Public Relations Research & Analytics

- Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and industry trends




- Identify opportunities to increase organizational visibility and engagement
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making

Community Engagement & Event Support

- Collaborate with Marketing and internal teams on outreach and event strategies
- Support community engagement initiatives, corporate events, and special projects
- Promote a positive and professional organizational image

General PR & Team Support

- Maintain organized records of media assets and communications materials
- Assist with communications policies, standards, and process improvements
- Support special projects and other related duties as required

What You Bring

- Education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience developing and implementing public relations or communications strategies
- Experience with media relations, storytelling, digital communications, and social media platforms
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
- Experience with content management systems; Adobe Creative Suite or Canva considered an asset
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
