About us

Perfect Berries is a cranberry and highbush blueberry farm and packing operation in Aylesford, Nova Scotia. We grow, pack, and ship fresh fruit to customers across Canada, the US, and export markets, under GlobalG.A.P., CanadaGAP, Kosher, and FDA-registered standards.

The role

We're looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to support food safety and quality compliance across our farm and packing operations. You'll help make sure our fruit meets the standards our customers and certifications require, from field to shipment.

Responsibilities

- Conduct quality inspections and sampling on incoming and outgoing fruit (cranberries and blueberries)
- Monitor and document food safety practices in line with GlobalG.A.P., CanadaGAP, GRASP, Kosher, and FDA/FSMA requirements
- Maintain accurate quality control records, logs, and traceability documentation
- Support internal audits and prepare documentation for external certification audits




- Identify and report quality or food safety deviations, and help implement corrective actions
- Work with the packing house team to ensure sorting, grading, and packaging meet spec
- Assist with pest control, sanitation, and calibration checks as needed

What you bring
- Experience in quality assurance, food safety, or a related role (agriculture or food processing an asset)
- Familiarity with food safety programs (GlobalG.A.P., CanadaGAP, HACCP, or similar) is a strong asset
- Comfortable with detailed record-keeping and basic computer use (Excel/Google Sheets)
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable working both in the packing house and occasionally in the field
- Able to work flexible hours during peak harvest season (September–December)
- Good communication skills in English; French an asset
