Overview

Blue Thunder Construction is seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Mechanic to support operations at our wallboard production facility. This role is critical to maintaining production efficiency through the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, mixers, dryers, and cutting systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production
- Inspect machinery and identify wear, defects, or required adjustments
- Install, align, and calibrate industrial equipment and components
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Support shutdowns, rebuilds, and equipment upgrades
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and plant procedures

Qualifications

- Experience as an industrial mechanic, millwright,



or maintenance technician (manufacturing environment) preferably over 5 years
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment failures efficiently
- Experience with welding and fabrication considered an asset
- Physically capable of handling industrial work demands

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
