Here's the role The Regional Sales Director is the link between GMS and the broker / advisor community. Responsible for managing and developing a distribution network from independent advisors through to MGAs, they are a key resource for product expertise, creative sales ideas and industry insight. Through sales and marketing activities, the Regional Sales Director promotes GMS health and travel insurance products and group benefit plans to new and existing brokers.
At the core, this position is responsible for meeting or exceeding established sales volumes and profitability goals associated with the assigned distribution strategies.
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate, execute, and monitor sales plans to advance GMS' product sales goals.
- Manage and grow sales within the assigned region through a combination of virtual engagement and in-person client meetings.
- Build and maintain broker relationships to enable cross and upselling opportunities.
- Acquire new distribution partners / brokers in line with our B2B distribution strategy.
- Acquire recent business through growth opportunities inside and outside of existing accounts.
- Manage existing broker relationships in line with our quality and service standard expectations.
- Engage in regular communication with brokers/advisors on training opportunities, product changes, new service enhancements, etc.
- Act as the main point of contact for all customer-related broker inquiries.
- Develop and deliver training and continuing education sessions for brokers/advisors.
- Maintain expert knowledge on GMS product lines, and external industry trends.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders on key account problem resolution.
- Maintains all selling activities within the allocated sales expense budget.
- Travel regularly throughout the territory to support sales initiatives, attend client meetings, and represent the company at events and conferences.
- Attend events or client engagements outside of standard business hours.

EducationExperience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in insurance or financial services sales
- LLQP or Accident and Sickness licensing required.
- Strong understanding of the health and travel insurance market, including product design, distribution, and financial management.
- Valid Driver's license is required.
