What you’ll do
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks
- Maintain safety records, reports, and incident/near-miss investigations
- Liaise with employees and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) Case Managers.
- Responsible for WCB case management and return to work process.
- Ensure PPE and fall protection equipment certification is up to date
- Communicate with management regarding safety issues
- Prepare and manage safety-related paperwork, including forms, reports, and documentation
What You Bring
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid/CPR)
- Knowledge of Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety Act and construction site regulations
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license / own vehicle
