Role Overview The Integration Lead is responsible for leading the design, governance, and delivery of integrations for the S/4HANA program, ensuring alignment with the organization's Integration Center of Excellence (CoE) standards and strategic integration direction. The role provides hands-on architectural leadership across SAP Integration Suite (SAP BIS) and related platforms to deliver scalable, secure, and reusable integrations that enable end-to-end business processes across SAP and non-SAP systems.

This role bridges program delivery and enterprise integration strategy, ensuring S/4HANA integrations are API-first, governed, observable, and product-oriented, while leveraging existing platform depth within the Integration CoE.

Guiding Principles

- Solid, current technical leadership in SAP Business Integration Suite (BIS), including API-first design and governed integration patterns.
- Secondary experience with SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, and JSCAPE to guide cross-platform integration patterns.
- Focus on structure, architectural consistency, and product-oriented integration services.
- Practice-level leadership enforcing SDLC discipline, governance, and resilient integration design.
- Championing CoE principles: API-first, secure-by-design, reuse, consistent naming, unified operations, and lifecycle management.

Purpose

- Ensure the S/4HANA program delivers a scalable, secure, and reusable integration landscape aligned with Integration CoE strategy and enterprise architecture standards. In orchestration with the Project Manager to be on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

S/4HANA Integration Leadership





- Lead end-to-end integration design and delivery for the S/4HANA program.
- Act as the single integration design authority for S/4HANA.
- Ensure SAP Integration Suite (BIS) is used as the primary integration capability.

Architecture & Standards

- Lead the team in defining and applying API-first, secure-by-design, reusable integration patterns.
- Ensure consistent enterprise naming conventions and pattern reuse.
- Provide architectural guidance across SAP BIS, PI/PO, MuleSoft, and JSCAPE.

Integration Governance & Lifecycle

- Enforce integration governance standards including security, observability, and resiliency.
- Ensure standardized lifecycle practices for all integration assets.
- Support unified operations through monitoring, logging, and error handling.

Delivery Enablement & CoE Alignment

- Partner with delivery teams to ensure scalable and maintainable implementations.
- Leverage Integration CoE accelerators and standards.
- Identify and mitigate integration risks and dependencies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work with SAP functional leads, enterprise architects, solution architects, business stakeholders, and S4 project managers.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Act as the integration liaison between the S/4HANA program and the Integration CoE.

Success Measures

- API-first, governed, and reusable integrations.
- Reduced point-to-point integrations.
- Operational readiness at go-live.
- Alignment with enterprise integration roadmap.
- On time, on budget

The role is required on site 3 days a week at the Markham Project Site location.
