We are seeking a senior SAP Consultant with expertise in Vertex, to join an active SAP–Vertex implementation project. The consultant will provide solution architecture, functional leadership, client-facing support, and guidance to the existing SAP team. This is to start ASAP and go until November.

The project involves extending an existing Vertex tax solution to support Canadian operations. The consultant will work across SAP Finance, Sales, Procurement, and tax integration processes.

The ideal candidate is a senior SAP professional with robust Vertex integration knowledge and experience across Finance, Sales, and Procurement. The person should be technically strong, comfortable speaking with senior client stakeholders, and capable of supporting the project team directly. The role requires a combination of solution architecture, functional leadership, delivery management, and hands-on troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the SAP workstream for the Vertex implementation.
- Provide solution architecture and functional guidance.
- Support SAP–Vertex integration across Finance, Sales, Procurement, and tax processes.
- Review SAP configuration, testing activities, conversion programs, and proposed system changes.
- Troubleshoot issues related to tax determination, jurisdiction codes, sales orders, billing, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and master data.
- Guide and support the existing SAP consultants.
- Participate in key client meetings and communicate technical issues clearly.
- Manage client expectations related to scope, testing, approvals, risks,



and timelines.
- Support unit testing, integration testing, UAT, go-live, and hypercare.
- Provide regular status updates, meeting notes, action items, and risk updates.
- Coordinate with SAP, Vertex, business, and project leadership teams.

Skills & Experience:

- Strong SAP implementation and solution architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience integrating Vertex with SAP.
- Good understanding of Vertex tax determination for the United States and/or Canada.
- Senior-level experience in one or more of the following:
- SAP FICO
- SAP SD
- SAP MM or Procurement
- SAP Supply Chain
- Strong cross-functional understanding of Finance, Sales, Procurement, and tax integration.
- Experience with SAP testing, troubleshooting, configuration, and production-readiness activities.
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to lead consultants and provide technical and functional direction.
- Availability to start immediately.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Canadian taxes, including GST, HST, PST, and QST.
- Experience with Canadian Vertex rollouts.
- Experience as an SAP Solution Architect, Team Lead, Workstream Lead, or Delivery Lead.
- Understanding of tax integration across:
- Sales orders and billing
- Purchase orders and vendor invoices
- Customer and vendor master data
- Plants and organizational structures
- Finance postings
- Experience working in challenging projects with aggressive timelines.
- Ability to manage senior client stakeholders.
