Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Seasonal Groundskeeper/Maintenance team member to help maintain the beauty and functionality of our outdoor and indoor spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for performing landscape maintenance and general groundskeeping tasks to ensure a pristine environment. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work and attention to detail will contribute to creating inviting, well-kept grounds that enhance the overall aesthetic and safety of our property.

You will also be responsible for assisting with general maintenance of our units, including exterior and interior painting, and assisting our team with custodial work including cleaning units and maintenance related tasks, as required.

Responsibilities

- Use hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment to perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and watering.
- Maintain gardens by weeding, mulching, pruning, and fertilizing to promote healthy growth.
- Inspect and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across landscaped areas.
- Assist with seasonal clean-up activities including leaf removal, debris clearing, and preparing grounds for different weather conditions.
- Perform routine maintenance on outdoor equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Support overall groundskeeping efforts by maintaining pathways, fences, benches, and other outdoor structures.




- Follow safety protocols while handling tools and chemicals to ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist with cleaning units, general maintenance and interior and exterior painting.
- Prior experience with gardening, landscape maintenance, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes is beneficial.
- Experience operating power tools like trimmers or blowers is a plus.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles or landscaping practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude towards maintenance tasks and teamwork.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work amongst tenants and the public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently and meet deadlines.
- A reliable vehicle and cell phone are required.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexiblity, efficiency, time management and good judgement.
