To find out more about the instrument, see www.lumatone.io The office is located in a commercial space in Parkdale, and is open (though private) to the residence of the business owner, so a high degree of trustworthiness must be established early and references will be requested.

You will be asked to work independently, so you must be a self-starter, organized, and self-motivated. Our processes are well documented, and you will have the prospect to improve them as you go. All our documentation is digital, so understanding how to use Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) is important. You should ber very comfortable communicating via email and texting, so computer literacy and speed is very important.

We seek a detail-oriented person who can help us assemble, test and repair our instruments before shipping.

Duties

- Ability to communicate very clearly in written and spoken English
- Ability to organize and focus on your work under a high mental load
- Desire and willingness to do repetitive tasks all day, and document progress
- Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
- Use hand tools, simple powered assembly tools, and measuring equipment such as calipers, wire strippers, hot-glue guns to complete assembly tasks




- Perform and document quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Package and ship via couriers to end-customers

Requirements

- Work Monday to Friday - starting 8:45a until 5p
- Desire to work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fine motor skills, especially finger dexterity and sensitivity to effectively play and diagnose keys on the keyboard
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

Nice to have...

- knowledge or interest in music
- ability to play the piano
- some knowledge of software and firmware, especially Linux-based systems

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
