Role Overview

We are looking for a highly autonomous, cloud-focused DevOps Engineer to join the Cloud Security & Infrastructure team. In this role, you will take ownership of our client's AWS environment, design highly customized Terraform modules, and drive pipeline modernization across Bitbucket.

If you excel in fast-moving SaaS/startup settings, enjoy deep Infrastructure as Code (IaC) challenges over container orchestration, and can own projects end-to-end without daily hand-holding, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Infrastructure Ownership: Architect, build, and optimize scalable, cost-effective AWS infrastructure using advanced, highly customized Terraform configurations.

- Pipeline Modernization: Lead the modernization, optimization, and maintenance of Bitbucket CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, reliable deployments.

- Autonomous Execution: Drive infrastructure initiatives from concept to deployment independently,



making informed technical decisions with minimal guidance.

- SaaS Operations: Identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and performance bottlenecks across a high-traffic SaaS platform.

- Security & Maintenance: Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze findings, execute routine platform maintenance, and participate in on-call incident response rotations.

- Remote Collaboration: Work asynchronously and collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Startup/SaaS Experience: Proven background working in fast-paced SaaS or startup environments (no rigid, siloed enterprise or big bank backgrounds).

- AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience designing and managing core AWS services in production.

- Advanced Terraform: Deep expertise writing modular, highly customized, and production-grade Infrastructure as Code (IaC) from scratch (not just editing existing modules).

- CI/CD Focus: Strong experience modernizing and maintaining Bitbucket pipelines (or similar git-based CI/CD tooling).

- Self-Driven & Collaborative: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take complete project ownership, and communicate clearly in remote-first teams.

- Solid Linux Fundamentals: Comfort working within Linux environments and understanding foundational networking/security principles.

Note: This role is focused strictly on cloud infrastructure, IaC, and deployment pipelines. Deep Docker/Kubernetes container orchestration backgrounds are not required for this position.
