Island EMS, a subsidiary of Medavie Health Services (MHS), began operating the ground ambulance service in Prince Edward Island in April 2006 and is responsible for the optimal operation and management of an integrated, service-led primary health care organization including Medacom Atlantic and the PEI Mobile Mental Health Program.
People are the biggest drivers of our success, and we are excited to continue building a healthier Prince Edward Island together. In this role, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for providing contract reporting,
strategic analysis and supporting key processes within Island EMS. The Senior data analyst will report to the Regional Director, Prince Edward Island Operations and will work closely with many areas of the organization, including the Island EMS leadership team, to understand their monitoring, reporting and data needs.
They will be a subject matter expert on source system data and will accurately extract and analyze data to meet the various demands of the business. The incumbent will be a key member of a team of professionals who support the ongoing development of Key Performance indicators and monitoring and reporting of EMS system performance. Act as a key advisor to the senior management team on operational and strategic data analysis Provide data for scheduled and unscheduled reporting on contractually identified KPIs and performance measures, including reviewing all component reports for accuracy and completeness
- Data mining, analysis and interpretation of data, reports and trends in EMS
- Support business development through analysis of data and modelling of system impacts
- Have a university degree, preferably a Master's degree, in Health System Performance, Health Services Research, Applied Statistics, Data Science, Systems Engineering, Health Informatics,
Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum 5 years' experience in health system analytics, performance measurement, quality improvement, decision support, or strategic planning. Demonstrated experience developing performance frameworks, outcome measures, dashboards, and executive reporting.
Experience with data visualization technologies and business intelligence platforms.
Experience applying data to support continuous quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation, and organizational strategy. Previous work experience or knowledge of emergency medical services is an asset Understand data-visualization concepts Solid understanding of business drivers and KPIs (key performance indicators) Have comprehensive knowledge of technical database management and reporting management functions
- The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
While
