Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, compliance, and long-term stewardship of a significant government-owned office precinct in Bendigo. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will work collaboratively with client and BGIS teams to ensure asset performance, service excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.

This newly created position has been established as part of an expanding portfolio and offers the opportunity to play a key role within a prominent regional government hub. The ideal candidate will be relationship-focused,



organised, and proactive, with a genuine passion for delivering positive stakeholder experiences, maintaining high-quality facilities, and supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day building operations, including planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, service delivery, and site coordination.
- Maintain asset registers, lifecycle plans, compliance records, and condition data using BGIS systems.
- Coordinate maintenance programs, minor works, capital projects, and asset renewal activities.
- Support long-term asset planning, capital forecasting, and maintenance optimisation strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, occupants, service providers, visitors, and community representatives.
- Coordinate contractor activities, permits, inductions, and site access requirements.<
