Role Description The Senior Financial Accountant is a full time, on-site role based in Etobicoke, ON. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with internal policies.

The Senior Financial

Accountant will manage the general ledger, perform reconciliations, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide detailed variance and trend analyses to leadership. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing financial reporting processes, maintaining and optimizing accounting software and systems,



coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and contributing to process improvements that enhance financial controls and operational efficiency. The person in this role will also support strategic finance initiatives, assist with cash flow monitoring, and provide clear, data-driven recommendations to management.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.

Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Advanced Analytical Skills to perform variance analysis, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.

Practical experience with Accounting Software and related financial systems, including process optimization and data integrity.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional designation is preferred.

Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in telecommunications, technology, or multi-site enterprise environments.

Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit processes, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an on-site setting.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
