Job description

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills * Test and adjust units to specifications

- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) * Not yet started in an apprenticeship but interested in one. Some shop laborer, tire changing, lube experience

- 1st Period Apprentice
- 2nd Period Apprentice
- 3rd Period Apprentice

Additional Skills * Provide customer service
Security and Safety * Bondable

- Driving record check (abstract)
- Criminal record check

- Steel-toed safety boots

Work Location Information * In shop
Automotive Service Technician Specific Skills * Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems. When needed drive customers with company provided Shuttle.

- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor
- Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components

Pay: $27.00-$55.00 per hour
