Stress Engineer (Canada)
Description
AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Stress Engineer to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Stress Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:
- Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
- Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
- Write detailed reports as required.
- Work effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team member.
- Adheres to AP Dynamics and client policies and standards.
- Enhance positive client relationships, and
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Registered in Canada as a Engineer-in-training.
- 2 years of experience in stress analysis using Bentley AutoPipe or Caesar II.
- Proficient in standard Windows software.
- Knowledge of Ansys or Abaqus is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Python scripting is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of dynamic analysis is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, and
- Self-motivated to further engineering skills and knowledge.
