Senior Guidewire Solution Architect (Guidewire Insurance Suite)

100% Remote – Anywhere in Canada

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Strong possibility of extension)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Language Requirement: Bilingual (French & English) – Fluent French is required.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Guidewire Solution Architect to support large-scale Property & Casualty (P&C;) Insurance transformation initiatives. This role will serve as the bridge between Business and IT, providing architectural leadership and deep Guidewire expertise across the full Guidewire ecosystem.

We're looking for a well-rounded Guidewire skilled with experience across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter , rather than someone focused on a single module.

Strong Guidewire Business Architects or Senior Guidewire Business Analysts with architecture experience may also be considered.

Must-Haves

- 8+ years of Solution Architecture experience (or closely related role).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Guidewire Insurance Suite .
- Strong experience with:
- Guidewire PolicyCenter
- Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Guidewire BillingCenter
- Experience designing enterprise solution architectures for large projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Guidewire APIs
- Gosu
- PCF Configuration
- Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, Web Services, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Experience with Microservices architecture.




- Strong understanding of Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CaaS).
- Experience estimating solution scope, cost, risks, and technical impacts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with both Business and Technical teams.
- Fluent French (spoken and written).

Responsibilities
- Design enterprise solution architectures that align with business and technology objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison between Business and IT teams.
- Define solution architecture, technical direction, integration strategy, and implementation approach.
- Evaluate solution impacts, dependencies, risks, costs, and complexity.
- Produce architecture deliverables, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Guide development teams and act as the Guidewire subject matter expert.
- Promote Guidewire Cloud development best practices.
- Support application integration, modernization, and cloud initiatives.
- Challenge technical decisions to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Develop transition, migration, coexistence, and implementation strategies.

Nice to Have
- Guidewire Cloud experience.
- Guidewire Advanced Product Designer (APD).
- Guidewire certifications (Associate, Specialist, or ACE).
- Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience.
- Strong business-facing Solution Architecture experience.
