IT Project Manager – Data Intelligence / SaaS Platform | Confidential Client | Ontario

Stafingo is hiring an experienced IT Project Manager on behalf of a confidential supply chain client in Ontario.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a Technical Project Manager / IT Project Manager with robust experience delivering enterprise technology, SaaS, data governance, or data platform implementations from planning through production go-live.

The successful candidate will own delivery outcomes end-to-end, coordinate internal teams and vendors, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure the solution meets enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and production-readiness standards.

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Contract Duration: 1 year with potential for extension

Location: Ontario – Hybrid, approximately 3 days/week onsite

Public Sector Experience: Preferred

About the Role :

The IT Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex enterprise data intelligence / SaaS platform implementation , taking the initiative from planning and implementation through production readiness, go-live, and early-life support.

This role is accountable for delivery outcomes—not simply project tracking .

You will establish and drive the integrated project plan, sequence technical activities, manage dependencies across teams and vendors, challenge estimates and timelines, and ensure critical technical, security, privacy, architecture, and governance activities are completed before production.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at the intersection of project management, technology delivery, data governance, SaaS platforms, enterprise architecture, security, and stakeholder management .

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the end-to-end technical project plan , roadmap, milestones, dependencies, critical path, cutover strategy, and early-life support plan.
- Drive delivery across internal technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners.

Work backwards from the target production date to sequence:

- Development
- ETL/data integration
- Platform configuration
- System integration
- QA/UAT
- Security and privacy assessments
- Architecture approvals
- Cutover
- Production readiness
- Early-life support
- Develop and defend realistic, evidence-based estimates , challenging unsupported assumptions and overly optimistic timelines.
- Establish and maintain requirements traceability, delivery backlogs, acceptance criteria, dependency maps, RAID/decision logs, and delivery governance.
- Coordinate SaaS platform configuration, integrations, testing, releases, production readiness, and operational transition.

Ensure technical due diligence is completed, including relevant:

- Architecture documentation
- Architecture review/approval gates




- Threat Risk Assessments
- Privacy Impact Assessments
- Security assessments
- Enterprise production-readiness requirements
- Ensure the solution aligns with enterprise technology standards, policies, architecture decisions, security requirements, and data sensitivity requirements.
- Establish a single authoritative source of truth for requirements, user stories, decisions, and delivery status.
- Operationalize RACI/accountability models and ensure responsibilities remain clearly assigned.
- Lead vendor and partner management, including scope, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, issues, and escalations.
- Identify blockers early and drive resolution through appropriate owners.

Provide explicit and fact-based reporting to senior leadership on:

- Schedule
- Risks
- Issues
- Dependencies
- Decisions
- Delivery status
- Required escalations
- Support business owners while ensuring technology and security standards are maintained.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement, communications, training, knowledge transfer, and operational handover.
- Support post-go-live stabilization and transition to business/operational ownership.

Key Deliverables The successful candidate will be responsible for tangible delivery outputs including:

- Integrated technical project plan and milestone roadmap
- Critical path and dependency management

- Acceptance criteria and validated delivery scope
- RAID, decision, dependency, and governance logs
- Executive status reporting
- Platform operating model and workflow coordination
- Roles, responsibilities, and access model
- Data/metadata integration and onboarding coordination
- Integration specifications and testing approach
- Release readiness and production sign-off
- Stakeholder communications and readiness tracking
- Training and knowledge-transfer coordination
- Operational support model and procedures
- Production handover documentation
- Post-go-live stabilization tracking

Required Qualifications & Experience We are looking for candidates with approximately 7–10+ years of directly relevant technical project management experience , including:

- 7–10+ years managing enterprise technology, SaaS, data platform, or complex system implementation projects from planning through production go-live.
- Proven experience managing complex technical delivery involving multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders .




- Experience working backwards from a target production date and developing realistic delivery sequencing.
- Strong estimation, scheduling, dependency management, and critical-path management skills.
- Experience delivering or operating data governance, metadata management, data catalogue, data quality, data lineage, data intelligence, or comparable enterprise platforms .
- Strong understanding of:
- Data governance operating models
- Data stewardship
- Data ownership

- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent executive stakeholder communication and facilitation abilities.
- Robust RAID, issue, risk, dependency, and escalation management experience.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex and regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology delivery and production-readiness processes.

Highly Preferred :

- Experience with Collibra or comparable data intelligence/data governance platforms .
- Experience with metadata management, enterprise data catalogues, data lineage, data quality, business glossaries, or data stewardship.
- Experience with enterprise architecture review processes.
- Experience coordinating Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) .
- Experience working with security, privacy, architecture, infrastructure, data, and application teams.
- Public sector or regulated-industry project experience.
