Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing trucks, industrial equipment, and farm machinery. This role requires hands-on expertise with various tools and systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet and machinery. The Truck Mechanic will play a vital role in maintaining the longevity and performance of our vehicles and equipment, supporting operational productivity.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trucks, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and power tools.
- Conduct welding and fabrication work as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems and performing diagnostics on complex machinery.
- Use hand tools, power tools,



and specialized equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Support customer service efforts by providing technical advice or explanations regarding vehicle or equipment issues.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on trucks or heavy equipment; dealership experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair, industrial equipment maintenance, HVAC systems, welding, electrical systems, schematics reading, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, Caterpillar machinery, farm equipment, and other heavy or industrial equipment.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic devices, and maintenance software.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding repairs or technical issues.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or automotive repair are preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an prospect to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise is valued and essential for operational success.

Pay: $23.82-$30.00 per hour
