: Senior Pega Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid 2-3 Days onsite)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Pega Developer to join our Banking Technology Solutions team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Pega applications that drive core banking processes, digital transformation, and customer experience enhancements.

You will work closely with Lead System Architects (LSAs), Business Analysts, and cross-functional technology teams to build scalable, high-performance BPM solutions within a cloud-native banking ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Application Development & Architecture: Design, build, and unit-test complex Pega workflows, rules, class structures, data models, and user interfaces following Pega Guardrails and CIBC architectural standards.
- Integrations: Design and implement seamless integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Kafka, MQ, and database connections to interface Pega with core banking systems and microservices.
- Performance Tuning: Conduct code reviews, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize rulesets using Pega Performance Analyzer (PAL), Tracer, and DB Trace.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical design discussions within an Agile/Scrum framework.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Support modern CI/CD pipeline deployments using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Pega Deployment Manager.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior/mid-level developers,



advocate best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement across the platform team.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

- Certification: Certified Senior System Architect ( CSSA ) is required. (CLSA is a strong asset) .
- Pega Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications on Pega 8.x+ platforms (Pega Infinity).
- Core Pega Features: Deep understanding of Class Structure Design, Case Management, SLA management, Decisioning, Declarative Rules, and Data Pages.
- Integrations & Security: Strong experience with REST/SOAP integration, Authentication/Authorization (OAuth2, SAML), and secure data handling in banking environments.
- Database & SQL: Proficient with relational databases (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL) and writing optimized SQL queries.
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and automated deployment processes.
- Domain Experience: Prior experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech (preferably in loan processing, onboarding, risk management, or dispute resolution) is highly preferred.
