Matrix HR is recruiting on behalf of a leading North American Energy and Utilities client for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist (Buyer) to support major natural gas pipeline infrastructure projects.

This role is responsible for leading the full procurement lifecycle for critical pipeline materials, including strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, commercial evaluations, purchase order management, and supplier relationship management.

Working closely with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, you will ensure materials are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivered in alignment with project schedules and technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have robust SAP procurement experience, established supplier relationships within the pipeline materials market, and the ability to translate technical requirements into effective procurement strategies.

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing





- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for pipeline infrastructure materials, including:
- Line pipe

- Valves

- Fittings

- Flanges

- Pipeline components

- Related mechanical materials

- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and business objectives.

- Prepare and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.

- Evaluate supplier proposals from technical and commercial perspectives.

- Coordinate technical reviews with Engineering and Project teams.

- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery schedules, contractual obligations, and risk allocation.

- Award and manage purchase orders while monitoring supplier performance.
