The Meat Academy is a rapidly growing meat wholesaler supplying restaurants, distributors, retailers, and food service customers throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Representative to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, solving problems, and helping maintain a healthy accounts receivable portfolio.

Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts
- Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices by phone and email
- Process customer payments and apply receipts accurately
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies
- Send customer statements and follow up on overdue balances
- Maintain accurate customer credit information and payment terms




- Assist with new customer credit applications
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing issues
- Prepare aging reports and assist with collection activities
- Maintain accurate records within QuickBooks Online and other internal systems

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable or Collections experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is considered an asset
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced workplace
- Professional telephone and email communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is considered an asset:

- Food distribution
- Wholesale distribution
- Transportation or logistics
- Commercial collections
- Credit management
- QuickBooks Online experience

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
