We are a boutique family law firm seeking a Family Law Legal Assistant to join our team.

We are seeking a proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about family law and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and will be dedicated to supporting clients through some of life’s most challenging moments.

As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to our family law practice, including:

- Drafting correspondence to clients, lawyers and the court
- Drafting court orders, 14B motions, and divorce applications
- Managing financial disclosure and drafting Certificates of Financial Disclosure and Financial Statements
- Assembling answers to undertakings and preparing court briefs.
- Managing the scheduling of client appointments and court appearances.
- Filing, serving, and organizing court documents in compliance with filing rules and practice directions across the GTA.




- Utilizing legal tools like Divorcemate and Cosmolex to manage case files effectively.
- Proofreading and formatting documents to ensure grammatical and spelling accuracy.
- Handling additional administrative and legal tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the practice.

Qualifications:

1 year experience in family law (preferred) however, we are open to a new law assistant or law clerk graduate who wishes to complete their placement.

Additional skills are:

- Robust knowledge of MS Office and Adobe.
- Familiarity with rules of service, filing, and court practices across the GTA.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay: $38,000 to $42,000

This is an in-person position.
