We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in electrical systems within residential, commercial and industrial and construction environments. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and possess a foundational understanding of electrical principles. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills under the guidance of experienced electricians and advance within the electrical trade.
Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution.
- Work with low voltage systems, including alarms, communication lines, and control wiring.
- Support the installation of electrical panels, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risk during construction or maintenance activities.
- Learn to identify potential electrical issues and assist in troubleshooting under supervision.
Requirements
- Prior experience or background in industrial electrician work or electrical systems is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and low voltage wiring is advantageous.
- Construction experience or related technical training is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn recent skills in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Ability to work safely in construction or industrial environments while adhering to safety standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation to job sites.
