We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation and tile laying. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation according to project specifications
- Cut, shape, and lay tiles using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Mix and apply mortar or adhesive to secure tiles in place
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and leveling of tiles for a professional finish
- Perform flooring installation including subfloor preparation when necessary
- Apply caulking around edges for waterproofing and aesthetic purposes
- Maintain a clean work area and dispose of debris responsibly
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry or handyman teams to complete projects efficiently
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in tile setting, carpentry, and construction work
- Experience with flooring installation and tile laying techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and building codes
- Skilled in caulking, grout application, and surface preparation
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile project support
- Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, and working in various positions throughout the day
- Attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and high-quality finishes
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions independently or within a team setting
Pay: $20.79-$39.91 per hour
