Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily container movements, including port pickup and return appointments, customer loading and unloading schedules, driver coordination, and shipment tracking.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, drivers, terminals, and internal operations staff to ensure efficient and timely movement of containers through the port network.

The ideal candidate has experience in transportation logistics, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily container pickup, delivery, and return appointments with Metro Vancouver ports, terminals, and rail facilities
- Schedule container movements between ports, warehouses, customer facilities,



and rail yards
- Communicate with customers to arrange loading and unloading appointments
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to customers
- Manage appointment changes, delays, and operational issues
- Verify container information, documentation, and transportation requirements
- Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to optimize daily truck schedules
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, appointments, and customer requests
- Provide professional customer service and timely communication

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, trucking, or freight coordination
- Experience with container drayage, port operations, or freight forwarding is an asset
- Knowledge of Metro Vancouver port operations (Deltaport, Centerm, Vanterm, and rail terminals) is preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
