About the Role

SMS Security is a growing security and systems company dedicated to providing exceptional service and fostering professional development. We are seeking reliable and customer-focused part-time security guards to join our team. This role offers flexible scheduling and an opportunity to build valuable experience in the security industry while working at residential condominium properties throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Responsibilities

- Perform concierge duties and provide exceptional customer service

- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent security issues

- Conduct regular patrols of assigned properties, both interior and exterior

- Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter incidents and support a safe environment

- Respond to emergencies including fire alarms, medical situations, and elevator entrapments

- Complete accurate incident reports and daily occurrence logs in a timely manner





- Manage parcel and delivery handling, including logging, verification, and distribution

- Greet and assist visitors while managing access control to the property

- Enforce property rules, site policies, and applicable municipal by-laws

- Maintain communication with site supervisors and management as required

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required)

- Minimum 2 years of security experience (preferred)

- Solid English communication skills (written and verbal)

- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

- Certifications preferred: AODA, CPR, Health & Safety, WHMIS

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

- Schedule flexibility required
