Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repair services, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry to service completion. This role requires excellent customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to upsell services effectively.

Duties

- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle information in the system.
- Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge to address customer inquiries.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services and communicate updates to customers.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments and invoices.
- Foster strong relationships with customers through exceptional service and follow-up communication.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to dealership standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a dealership environment.




- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Experience with cash handling and sales processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer engagement.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Familiarity with automotive repair terminology and processes is a plus.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
