LOCATION

Key Responsibilities
Define stress critical lines, conduct piping stress analysis and deliver final stress analysis report.
Provide stress markups to assist Piping Design, Civil/Structure and Mechanical on pipe routing, restrain types, support loads, equipment nozzle loads, etc.
Pipe supports selection and design.
Review and approve of piping drawings including iso’s, GA’s, Plot Plan’s, Alignment Sheets, Section/Details and as-built drawings.
Prepare data sheets for piping specialty items and spring hangers/supports.
Perform pipe wall thick calculation and other code calculations as required.
Review existing piping standards/specs and create new piping engineering specs as required.
Prepare and submit pressure piping design registration package.
Generate piping material MR’s, complete TBE’s and review vendor documents as a responsible engineer.
Lead piping engineering team of assigned project and report the project management.
Provide engineering support for field construction when required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree on Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Professional Engineer (APEGA PEng). Able to authenticate piping documents and drawings.
10 – 15+ years of Engineering experience. Field experience is an asset.
Industry experience on Oil & Gas (SAGD). Other experience such as Mining, Pipelines, Gas treatment, Gas compression package, Refinery, Upgrader are also acceptable.
Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, CSA Z662 and ABSA pressure equipment regulations
Hands-on experience in detailed piping designs, piping and piping components material specification.
Good communication skills both in written and verbal.
Solid commitment to teamwork and work independently with minimal supervision.
Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from COOEC CA is required.
