Novawest Renovations is heading into a busy renovation season and we are seeking a skilled renovation labourer and lead hand (site supervisor) to join our team.

We specialize in high-quality residential renovations and take pride in professionalism, integrity, and craftsmanship. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, shows initiative, and represents our company well on job sites.

Duties

- Assist with residential renovation projects from start to finish
- Basic drywall (patching, boarding, taping assistance)
- Framing & light structural modifications
- Painting & finishing work
- Basic tiling (prep & install assistance)
- Demolition, moving, lifting & site preparation
- Site protection and daily cleanup
- Performing quality checks before inspections or turnovers
- Supervising or directing general labourers when required
- Coordinating and directing licensed trades on site (as instructed)
- Purchasing and picking up supplies/materials as needed
- Attending site meetings and internal team meetings
- Read construction or renovations drawings to execute project plans accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools for various construction tasks
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for all team members




- Support restoration projects by performing demolition, cleanup, and material handling
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Experience

- Experience in residential renovation or construction - required
- Ability to follow direction and work independently
- Some experience supervising or managing labourers is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Professional communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting and working on active job sites
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - required
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools
- Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, masonry, carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting is highly desirable
- Understanding of safety practices on construction sites
