Job description:
We’re seeking dedicated and experienced Advanced Care Paramedic (ACPs) to provide casual medical standby coverage for community events across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for local paramedics looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying versatile work arrangements.
As a member of our Emergency Medical Team, you will be responsible for delivering immediate onsite medical care to individuals experiencing injury or illness during events. You will assess the situation,
administer appropriate care, and coordinate or arrange timely transportation to a medical facility when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical assessment, intervention, and stabilization onsite.
- Maintain a high level of readiness to respond to medical emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with other emergency responders, event staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of medical incidents.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
- Current BLS/ ITLS
- Current CPR and standard first aid certification
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Current and clean Driver's Abstract
- Previous experience in event medical coverage is considered an asset
