BeConnected is currently seeking experienced care providers in the Cowichan Valley to open their homes and provide support to adults with developmental disabilities.

As a Home Share Provider, you will offer personalized care and support tailored to the unique needs of the individual placed in your home. Supports may include:

- Meal preparation
- Medication monitoring
- Personal care assistance and/or hygiene reminders
- Transportation to appointments and recreational activities
- Encouraging community participation
- General supervision, as required by the individual’s needs

Eligibility Requirements

- Completion of a Home Study
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Transparent Criminal Record Check for all adults in the home
- WorkSafe Coverage (Personal Optional Protection) upon contract acceptance
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- References
- Medical assessment by a physician

Compensation





Home Share Providers enter into a contractual agreement with BeConnected and receive room and board funding, along with additional support funding specific to the individual. Contracts typically range from $2,000 – $3,000 per month, depending on the level of care required.
