Position Overview

Providing support to Outside Sales Reps by building rapport and maintaining customer relationships, following through on customer POs, and ensuring inventory is stocked as required, including purchasing is the first function. The sales desk receives inbound customer orders but also grows the business by actively upselling and promoting.

Responsibilities





- Actively sell and service existing accounts via phone and email
- Prospect and develop new, exciting business relationships
- Learn about and promote new product lines.
- Work for and with outside sales staff
- Purchasing and inventory management
- Understand each customer's needs to provide real, effective solutions
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Professionally quote rates
- Provide customers with professional recommendations on options as well as pricing and availability data to meet customers' needs
- Process orders in a timely manner
- Work to continually advance self knowledge of products
- Assist with the management and maintenance of appropriate stock levels for the area programs
- Work in conjunction with operations to ensure efficient use of assets, while delivering a premium customer service experience

Qualifications

- High school diploma
- Industry experience a plus
- Some experience in quoting,



purchasing and inventory management
- Experience supporting outside sales team
- Excellent communicator, good phone manner and email skills
- Good math competency. Proficient with computers (word, excel, CRM)
- Desire to work in a customer-centric sales role, excellent customer service skills and ability to upsell
- Wants to contribute to the overall plan and team
- Problem solver, takes initiative, makes decision
- Sense of urgency, ability to work in a fast paced environment and to multi-task
- Positive, proactive and energetic attitude
- Ability to work well independently as well as being comfortable working with staff at all levels in the organization with different personalities
- Positive can do attitude
- Detailed/organized
- Comfort utilizing social media for business applications a plus
- Strong follow up skills

Work Environment

Typical office environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
