Job Posting: Process Server (Independent Contractor – Part-Time)

Location: Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley

Expedited Motion Process Serving Ltd. is hiring a professional and dependable Process Server to work as an independent contractor. We are a growing legal support company serving law firms across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. This role is ideal for someone based in or near Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, or New Westminster who is seeking flexible part-time work during evenings and weekends.

Role Summary

- Serve legal documents to individuals, businesses, and organizations as directed
- Make up to three attempts per job at varying times (morning, afternoon, evening)
- Record and report service attempts using our internal tracking system
- Follow daily service routes assigned by the company
- Assemble and print documents (printer and supplies provided)
- Meet weekly with a company commissioner to sign affidavits

Compensation

- $19.00 - $25.00/hour
- Monthly gas stipend: $175 to $300 depending on route distance
- Paid bi-weekly or monthly via cheque

Schedule

- 15–20 hours/week, mostly evenings and weekends
- Assignments provided on an as-needed basis
- Flexible work hours and independent field work

What We Provide

- Daily route planning and service instructions




- All printing equipment and office supplies (printer, paper, ink, clips)
- Weekly access to an in-house commissioner for affidavit signing
- Clear job expectations and respectful communication

Requirements

- Based in or near Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, or New Westminster
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Ability to print legal documents from home
- Organized and skilled under pressure
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own field work

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)

- Experience in legal, security, law enforcement, investigations, or courier work
- Familiarity with court documents or affidavit procedures
- Background in criminology, legal studies, or paralegal training

Additional preference will be given to students or alumni of:

- SFU Criminology
- UBC Allard School of Law
- KPU Legal Studies
- Justice Institute of BC (JIBC)
- Capilano University Paralegal Program
- UFV Criminology or Legal Studies
