Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct inspections and identify any additional repairs or maintenance needed.
- Assemble and disassemble components as necessary.
- Utilize various tools and equipment to complete repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repairs in a explicit and concise manner.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as required.
- Welding and fabrication as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a truck and coach mechanic or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues.
- Ability to dig into complex mechanical problems and find effective solutions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience with welding is a plus.
