Translate requirements to software design and create clean, efficient, extensible, maintainable code. Take full responsibility for the entire software life cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, observability and monitoring. Serve as a key player in influencing and guiding others towards the right technical decisions.

Identify areas of features likely to change and integrating flexibility in the design for these areas improving engineering velocity. Practice evidence-centered design making features testable, ensuring high quality and improving velocity in continuous delivery. Manage project features, break into sub-tasks, identify and resolve issues for efficient execution.

Provide technical guidance, code review for immediate team and other teams, coaching, and mentorship to individual team members. Identify gaps and issues across systems and functional areas, propose solutions, build the engineering roadmap, and drive resolution. Lead and improve E2E testing quality and increase delivery velocity across features.

Lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an "always-on" 24/7 site. Passion about new and innovative technologies within immediate field of expertise 6+ years of experience with Java, GraphQL, Spring/Springboot, REST APIs, messaging systems and/or other backend programming languages. 6+ years of experience designing front-end systems and development using Javascript/Typescript, CSS, React, NodeJS, Server-side rendering using one of the open-sourced UI libraries (Material UI/Ant UI), Integration with REST/GraphQL APIs Solid portfolio demonstrating BEM-structured CSS and understand the intricacies of how browsers work. js 6+ years of experience building large scale,



distributed web platforms/APIs with 2+ years as a lead developer responsible for specific functional areas. Experiences in leading small to mid-size projects independently.

Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS or other related field.

Experience in crafting GraphQL/Restful APIs, and building server-side components in Java, NodeJS or similar backend development languages. AI first attitude with proficiency in Claude Code/Cursor/Copilot.

Background in developing web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular) and Spring Boot IO frameworks. Proficient in Structured and unstructured data structures. Good understanding of the ML data pipelines, feature engineering and model training.

Building data-driven applications (RDBMS, NoSQL, ElasticSearch). Delivers results in rapid-paced environments (agile, TDD, CI/CD). Familiarity with shift left approach is a plus. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
