Position: We are looking for a breakfast cook from May 1st until the end of October.
Assist the Executive Chef in their daily duties and preparing for dinner service. Must possess a strong knowledge and willingness to learn and contribute to our high level of food service and kitchen culture. Applicant must be willing to learn and execute menu and recipes and play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
o Adhering to all food handling and health & safety procedures
o Maintaining a clean kitchen and back of house including washing tableware, kitchen tools, etc.
o Plating food
o Food preparation (i.e. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, etc.) Disposing of waste & recycling
o Opening and closing duties as required
o Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
o Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
o Familiarity with cuisine is an asset - Thorough understanding of safe food handling
o Demonstrates a high level of self-discipline in work habits and work quality
Skills
o Positive attitude and respectful demeanor
o Dependable, hard-working and disciplined
o Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task
o Enjoys physical work
Requirements
o Ability to stand for extended periods
o Ability to work well under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
o Available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
o Working in a kitchen environment
o Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50lb

Experience:
- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
