Job Summary and Requirements
This is a until –filled competition. Candidates are encouraged not to delay submitting their application as this posting can close at any time after 10 business days with 24-hour posted notice. This posting will be used to fill one permanent full-time position working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.
Your role
The Income Support Unit is looking for motivated, collaborative Social Workers who are committed to providing supports to clients who require assistance in the areas of income support, employment, and crisis management.
These positions provide case management and coordination services, social assistance,
employment supports and disability-related supports with the goal of increasing independence and inclusion in the community. Other responsibilities may include participating in the development and implementation of branch services, and providing liaison and resource assistance to professionals, paraprofessionals, and the general public.

Essential qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in social work
- Recent experience developing and implementing case plans collaboratively with clients
- Recent experience in social services working directly with complex clients
