Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in managing procurement processes, coordinating supply chain activities, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support production. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems, demand planning, and lean manufacturing principles to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Duties
- Manage purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure quality materials at competitive prices.
- Utilize SAP, MRP, and other ERP systems to track inventory levels, process purchase orders, and monitor supply chain performance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Conduct demand planning to forecast material requirements based on production schedules and sales forecasts.
- Support procurement processes by analyzing supplier performance and identifying opportunities for process improvements aligned with lean manufacturing practices.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and inventory movements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align supply chain activities with production needs and schedules.
- Monitor supply chain KPIs to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Skills
- Solid knowledge of purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management principles.
- Experience working with SAP, ERP systems, MRP, and demand planning tools.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies to optimize processes and eliminate waste.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to address supply chain challenges effectively.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating across departments and with suppliers.
