Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian/Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities. This vital role involves performing comprehensive cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are upheld. Duties

- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Conduct routine commercial cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by replenishing supplies, disinfecting fixtures, and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Carry out basic facilities maintenance including light repairs, replacing light bulbs, and reporting larger issues to management
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency
- Follow health and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination while performing cleaning duties




- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or needed to uphold facility standards

Skills

- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial work within commercial or institutional settings
- Robust knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary
