What You Will Do - Interface with customers (both internal and external) during definition and integration of avionic systems.
- Execute program milestones according to established schedule and ensure critical path and key dependencies are effectively managed to achieve successful outcome.
- Review detailed execution plans and schedules with the project management team to ensure adequacy, completeness, and harmonization with the overall program level plan.
- Generate system requirements documents for physical and logical interfaces.
- Define cockpit display formats and control operations in conjunction with the customer.
- Develop and run functional test procedures for all avionics sub‑systems.
- Advise the customer on the physical installation of avionics equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose avionics problems on the systems integration rig and flight test aircraft (may involve travel).
- Document, track, and resolve avionics problems resulting from both design errors and equipment failures.
- Generate certification documents for subsystems demonstrating compliance with OEM certification plans.
- Support change management related activities at the program level.
What You Will Learn Collins Aerospace
Avionic Systems architecture, functionalities, operations, OEM processes, and teamwork and leadership skills.
Qualifications You Must Have - University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or Advanced Degree and minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience with some or all of the following systems: AFCS, Air Data, Cockpit Audio, Datalink, EFIS, EICAS, Enhanced Vision Systems, FMS, GPS, HUD, Integrated Modular Avionics,
On‑board Maintenance Systems, Radio Altimeters, Synthetic Vision Systems, TAWS, TCAS/Transponders, VHF Comm, VHF Nav.
