You will be an Underwriter with experience in Special Events, Participants Liability & Accident coverage, Adventure Tourism and related Sports, Leisure and Entertainment classes, who is able to look at challenging risks with a problem‑solving mind.
Responsibilities - Review and apply pricing, terms and conditions to new and renewal Sports, Leisure & Entertainment and related business.
- Maintain and grow the existing book of business.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with retail producing brokers by encouraging additional submission inflow.
- Provide high‑level commentary and market intelligence to Team Lead.
- Develop broker relationships by attending broker meetings, conventions and functions.
- Participate in discussions with markets and add commentary on specific programs.
- Discuss recent product development opportunities.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Level1 General Insurance license (or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable time frame).
- Preferred: CAIB, CIP, CRM, FCIP or working towards a final designation.
- 5+ years relevant underwriting experience, with at least 2+ years direct experience reviewing and underwriting Sports, Leisure & Entertainment type risks (including Special events, adventure tourism, sports insurance, fitness, golf courses, resorts, indoor play centers, craft fair vendors, food trucks, inflatables, etc.).
- Knowledge of SLE specific coverages such as participant injury coverage, Host Liquor Liability, Accident Coverage, Directors & Officers, Abuse Coverage.
