Senior Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the Merge Universal Viewer (MUV), a web-based diagnostic imaging platform.

Working as part of an Agile team, this individual will develop advanced imaging workflows, visualization capabilities, and interoperability features while ensuring high levels of quality, performance, and reliability.

The successful candidate will bring solid medical imaging and web development expertise, contribute to technical design discussions, mentor junior team members, and help drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain software components for MUV.




- Develop and execute automated tests to improve product quality and regression coverage.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
- Investigate and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Troubleshoot complex customer and production issues.
- Contribute to advanced imaging and visualization capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Regulatory Affairs, Support, and Architecture teams to ensure solutions meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge across the team.

Required Skills & Experience

- Medical Imaging Experience developing medical imaging software.
- Familiarity with DICOM standards and imaging workflows.
- Familiarity with PACS and enterprise imaging environments.
- Knowledge of 3D visualization concepts including MPR, MIP, and Volume R
