Required Skills & Experience
- Experience setting technical strategy that other Staff-level or senior engineers execute against, including architecture that has been successfully delivered in production.
- Demonstrated experience building agentic systems and architectures in production, including agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks/evals, and harness engineering.
- Strong experience making model-driven output reliable, measurable, grounded, auditable, and safe to act on.
- Hands-on production software engineering experience in a up-to-date programming language, with a strong preference for C# and .NET.
- Strong backend engineering experience with front-end capability; React and TypeScript experience is preferred.
- Experience designing and delivering reliable, maintainable systems across services, dependencies, consistency models, and failure scenarios.
- Ability to frame ambiguous, system-level problems and drive complex technical decisions with business-level impact.
- Experience leading technical work across multiple teams and raising the engineering bar while remaining hands-on.
- Strong experience with observability, monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and production readiness.
- Strong product mindset, technical judgment, ownership mentality, and ability to make clear trade-off decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience delivering AI-enabled product capabilities using both generative and non-generative models.
- Experience building measurement frameworks and evals for AI systems where quality can be defended with data.
- Experience with human-approved or human-in-the-loop AI workflows.
- Previous experience supporting enterprise software implementation, HCM, Payroll, WFM, Core HR, or Benefits product domains.
- Genuine interest in complex systems problems and turning ambiguity into scalable, dependable software.
Insight Global is looking for a Staff Architect to join a global HCM client on a full time permanent basis working fully remote in Canada. The successful candidate will help define and build an AI-native implementation workspace designed to support customers from raw input through configuration, data migration, and testing. This role will own the technical architecture across multiple product areas and platform surfaces, with a focus on building reliable agentic systems, domain agents, evaluation frameworks, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
Primary responsibilities include setting multi-year technical strategy, designing orchestration and platform layers, building production-ready AI systems, establishing quality measurements for agent output, and partnering with Product, Design, ML, Platform, and Engineering teams to drive high-impact technical decisions.
