Staff Pharmacist – Addiction / OAT

About The Role We're opening a brand-current addiction pharmacy in the Niagara Region, co-located with a community medical clinic, and looking for a compassionate, patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our team from the ground up. This is a meaningful opportunity to work in opioid agonist therapy (OAT) and harm reduction, supporting patients through recovery in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Responsibilities

- Dispense and manage opioid agonist therapy (methadone, buprenorphine/naloxone, Suboxone, Kadian) including witnessed and carry doses
- Counsel patients on safe, effective medication use with a harm-reduction approach
- Maintain accurate narcotic and controlled substance records, reconciliation, and inventory
- Provide clinical services including MedsChecks, immunizations, and minor ailment assessments
- Manage ODB billing and third-party claims
- Ensure full compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists and Health Canada standards
- Collaborate closely with the co-located clinic prescribers and care team to support positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

- Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A)
- Injection certification an asset
- Experience with opioid agonist therapy (OAT) an asset — training available for the right candidate
- Compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patients in recovery
- Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills
- Comfortable with pharmacy dispensing software
- Professional, reliable, and patient-first attitude
