The R.M. of Wallace-Woodworth is looking for a strategic Chief Financial Officer to oversee financial management and long-term fiscal planning. This leadership role plays a crucial part in enhancing financial health and aligning with the strategic plan. As a vital member of the senior management team, the CFO will provide expert financial guidance to Council and the CAO.
This role includes preparing budgets, analyzing financial trends, and ensuring compliance with provincial regulations, among other responsibilities. Your expertise will greatly influence the municipality's financial success and strategic direction. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead annual budget preparation and financial forecasts
- Analyze financial trends and identify fiscal opportunities
- Coordinate municipal audit processes and year-end statements
- Develop internal controls and financial policies
- Collaborate with department heads on capital project planning Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA designation required
- 3-5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in municipal finance
