HVAC Service Technician

Edmonton, AB | Full-Time, Permanent | Up to $45/hour (Based on Experience) | Spiffs/Commission + Benefits + RRSP Matching

Legacy Heating & Cooling is one of Alberta's fastest-growing HVAC & Plumbing contractors, recognized for providing exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship. We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing residential service team.

We are looking for someone with 2-4+ years of residential HVAC service experience who is confident diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems while delivering an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate understands that building trust with homeowners and educating them on repair and replacement options leads to long-term customer relationships. Previous sales experience is considered a strong asset, as this position offers additional earning potential through spiffs and commission.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC equipment

· Service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, garage heaters, and hot water tanks

· Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups

· Clearly explain repair recommendations and replacement options to homeowners

· Recommend equipment upgrades, indoor air quality products, maintenance memberships, and replacement systems when appropriate

· Build trust with customers by providing honest, professional recommendations

· Complete service calls accurately and efficiently using company software

· Collect payment upon completion of service when required

· Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and perform daily vehicle inspections

· Follow all company safety policies and manufacturer specifications





· Participate in an on-call rotation as required

Qualifications

· Minimum 2-4 years of residential HVAC service experience

· Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic or Gasfitter certification is considered an asset

· Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

· Previous HVAC sales or in-home service sales experience is highly preferred

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls

· Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract

· Solid work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
