PURPOSE

As a Greenhouse Worker, you will support all areas of the greenhouse to help complete weekly production and fulfillment tasks as needed. With your energetic and motivated attitude, you will contribute to maintaining high levels of efficiency and quality in all operational activities. By following standardized processes, you will help ensure our products consistently meet and exceed quality expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fulfillment (Main Function)

· Sort orchids in various categories.

· Pick orders as per the order details.

· Apply labels, UPCs, and care tags.

· Apply upgrades (pots, accessories, sleeves).

· Pack product in boxes and trays.

· Load pallets and carts.

Production (Supporting Function)

· Pot orchid plants.

· Space orchid plants.

· Stake orchid plants.

· Move grow tables to designated growing areas.

· Sort and plant tissue culture plants.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

· Uphold CosMic Plants’ quality image.

· Uphold CosMic Plants’ values and company culture in all relationships.

· Ensure all tasks are performed efficiently, timely, and in order of priority.

· Adhere to CosMic Plants' Health and Safety policies (this is everyone’s responsibility).

QUALIFICATIONS

· Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalent completed.

· Prior experience in the fast food, warehouse, or greenhouse industry is considered an asset.





· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

· Consistent transportation to work.

SKILLS

· Works collaboratively with others by communicating respectfully, supporting team goals, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

· Strong attention to detail for quality inspections.

· Basic math skills for handling orders and inventory.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

· Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

· Duties may not be limited to the job description.

· You will report to the Fulfillment Manager.

· As a Greenhouse Worker, you will primarily work within either the Production or Fulfillment departments, depending on your specialization. However, the nature of our business requires flexibility, and you may be temporarily assigned to assist other departments as needed. Furthermore, based on changing business needs, your primary role and responsibilities may be permanently reassigned to another department or location. This flexibility helps ensure smooth operations and supports the overall success of the business.

· In this position, you will work a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM. It is understood that hours worked per week may vary depending on the week, the tasks at hand, and the season. Hours per week will typically not be less than 40, and not exceed 50.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
